Elf on the Shelf ~ Reactions

I am hoping to actually keep a log of ALL reactions of the kids too, so we can later print this out as a book and look back on it!

Night 1 - Clyde arrived at our house. The Kids LOVED the concept and immediately understood what was going on. Caden woke up at 5:15 in the morning, looking and asking if Colin was awake yet because he wanted to look for the Elf! Colin, however was of course in bed with us, sleeping. We made Caden stay in bed. Rather then going back to sleep, he played the ipod. :-) Around 6:15 he again, asked if Colin was awake yet. Colin (who we thought was sleeping) SHOT up, and said "did you say MY name Caden??" {Love it} Caden said lets go find the elf Colin!!  They then went to the living room, talking in low voices saying we need to find that elf, he's magical. They turned on the Christmas Tree for light, and see Clyde, sitting on the couch (In Cadens spot of course) with the DVD players remote in his hands, and the Santa movie next to him. Caden is CRACKING up laughing so hard. Runs back to tell me how he finds Clyde and runs back out to the living room.  The 2 of them now begin to discuss what they should do, since if they touch Clyde, his magic powers are gone, and he can't report back to Santa. Colin assured Caden, that Mommies and Daddy's can move the elf and he will keep his magic (he even came back to confirm this with me) Laying in bed listening to them was well worth every cent we spent on Clyde.

Night 2 - Clyde brought the kids advent calenders tonight! Caden, again up before Colin, asks where Colin is, (sleeping in bed with mommy of course) because he needs to find where the elf is. Colin gets up and they both going running out to the living room. Turn on the tree again for light, and there is Clyde! This time hanging out out on the small couch, with presents for them! Caden thought the best part was that he MOVED couches!! too funny. Courtney came upstairs and Caden was THRILLED to tell her that Clyde brought all 3 of them advent calenders. I can't wait to see what Clyde comes up with tonight after he reports to the North Pole!!
