I just LOVE sleeping Pictures!

I took this on the way home from Olean... Colin was so tired and it took him FOREVER to fall asleep, but when he finally did, he was out cold!

New Years with the MA Beyer family!

We went to Olean tonight to visit with GG and Chris and Melissa since they were in town for a couple days. It's always nice to spend some time with them since were all so far away and it's rare that we can all get together more then just the once a year during the summer time. We had a nice turkey dinner and just spent some quality time. Mike and Kasey stopped by for a visit. We got some decent shots of everyone together- well except Melissa and I of course :-( Melissa got some GREAT shots with her camera... too bad for some reason, they didn't come though on my SD card though.. so I'll have to pull them off and upload them on here once she posts them. Unfortunately we had to leave early in the evening since Mike has to work at 2 am tomorrow morning. Looks like Courtney and I will be the lonely 2 up late tonight to bring in the New Year, and I am not even sure I'll make it yet! Courtney and Dominic

Everyone except Melissa and I - too bad Colin was NOT happy!

Things aren't always as they seem

Mike and Caden took Momma to the vet yesterday to get her all checked out. We noticed that she had some sort of an eye infection and not knowing much about her, wanted to get her looked at. Well we got some suprising news, Momma we learned..... is a BOY! So I guess we'll have to call him Mr. Momma now. I don't have the heart to tell Caden that he can't be Momma, and I really like the name anyway. This morning I was still calling HIM Momma, so momma it will stay. He does have Pink Eye, so has an ointment that we have to put on, he also has a mild heart murmur, that we'll just have to keep an eye on. And we knew he was a Big boy, but didn't know how big, he weighs a whopping 15.1 pounds! That's like a 3 month old baby! :-) Otherwise he is healtly and everyone there loved him and said what a friendly cat he was. We forgot to ask how old he was, but we go back next week, for an eye check and some shots so I'll have Mike ask then. I hope soon though that he starts to come upstairs more to visit us... maybe when Symba isn't with us any longer he will...............

Our Newest Addition to the family

Meet Big Momma - Momma was not meant to be her real name, but when Aunt Leah brought her over and was trying to get her out, she kept saying "come on momma", so Caden then started calling the kitty Momma, and since he only knows a handful of words to begin with, I didn't have the heart to tell him the cats name wasn't momma, so it looks like were sticking with Momma. She is the friendliest cat ~ took to the house right away and is doing not too bad with the other cats considering. The dog however is another story, she is scared out of her mind! She must not have ever been around dogs before, so when he's around she just hides. I am hoping she doesn't stay scared forever, since it's nice to have 1 of the 3 cats actually out and about during the day.

Snow storm

So Friday we got a decent storm and got about a foot of snow in about 4 hours or so. Saturday was calm, then came yesterday. Holy Cow. It was snowing at 3 am Sunday morning when I was up nursing Colin. It was still snowing at 8 when we got up. And still snowing at 9pm when we went to bed. STILL snowing at 2:30 am Monday morning when Mike left for work. It finally stopped I believe about 4am today (Monday) It wouldn't have been so bad, but it wasn't just snowing, we had 40+ mile an hour winds on top of that, creating blizzard like conditions. Alot of the time, you couldn't even see the house across the street. There are travel bans and advisories all over the place, and schools were actually closed LAST night for today! We have some pretty serious snow drifts happening in the back yard, only I don't have the strength to get out there and take pictures :-) My legs are still numb from trying to snow blow the driveway this morning so I could get to work- only to have work call about 15 minutes after I got in the house telling us to stay home. That worked out well for me, since there is STILL tons of snow at the end of the driveway that I didn't even get to. All in all, I am pretty sure there has GOT to be at least 3 or 4 feet out there. Yesterday, one of the times that Mike was out snow blowing, he stood on the front lawn and could TOUCH the roof of the house, that is how much snow is out there. All in 2 days!Granted we only have a ranch, but still. Hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures later on.. if not you'll just have to imagine it!

Since we are all stuck in the house today, this is what the boys and I are going to do. Colin loves Caden's new geo airport and can't get enough of it! So were hanging out in the family room, playing trains.

December Family Night at the Y

We went to the Y tonight for the December family night. It was really nice. We had a craft table, where we made snowman ornaments for the tree. then we had a paint table, where the boys painted their hands to make a Christmas tree. You were supposed to use them as gift tags, but I made them into ornaments instead. Lastly, they each were able to decorate 2 cookies with frosting and candy. Colin of course ate all his candy while staring at the cookie :-) and Caden frosted, but wasn't too keen on putting the Candy on the cookie. Then Santa made an appearance! They asked what children wanted to go up and visit Santa, no one moved. All of a sudden Caden stood up and walked right up to him! We couldn't believe it! He has come so very far since starting this center based program in October! He NEVER would have done that 3 months ago. Yeah Caden! Colin was scared to death, and Courtney was too "good" for Santa :-) The kids then got to go in the adventure room where we played for about 30 minutes. Colin learned how to go down the twisty slide all alone! Then after much convincing, right before we left, Caden did it too! We really good a good time.

Little Bit of snow

these are from our big storm yesterday. We got about a foot of snow from the one storm. and in certain intervals, it would ice up as well.

Before

From wild child to tame Colin man, I finally broke down and gave Colin his first real haircut, He looks so grown up now. We were getting tired of having to explain that he really was a boy and not a little girl!

Randon Updates

So it's been a couple days since I've posted. Not much new to tell except our daily happenings. Caden has been sick and still in pain for most of the week. He missed almost a full week of school- not returning until Thursday. His mouth was still hurting him pretty bad to, so much so that Mike and I brought him back to the dentist a week early, this past Tuesday to double check that no infection has started. It hasn't, which is a good thing, however now that the swelling has gone down, he did mention that the bone that holds the teeth in place is broke, which is causing all the pain. The 2 nd tooth also has begun to come back down, however it is very very loose, so the more it comes down, the looser it will get. Which means that he'll probably lose that tooth in the coming months. My poor Caden. I tell you though, if it's going to happen to any of our children, let it be caden. I am not sure why, but his is the the most strong willed child we have. I wonder sometimes if it's because of his disabilities, and he has to overcome so much on a daily basis, so why not stay strong for all things? It sure seems that way. That child deserves a medal.

Colin has also not been feeling well. He woke up with a high fever on Tuesday morning and was blah all day long. Last night, he rarely slept at all, and only wanted me to hold him and nurse him all night long. I am almost positive that he is teething, which makes sense, but i need sleep! 3 hours a night is not nearly enough for either of us and I have to go to work to top it all off! 17 months of this is enough.... Colin... SLEEP ALL NIGHT BABY!!! PLEASE!!!!

Courtney as I posted earlier made the honor roll. Her school to honor all the students who made it, hosts a parent breakfast and the student gets recognized and receives a certificate. We did that this past Wednesday morning before school started. It was really nice. I hope she keeps up the good work and continues on the path is/was on.

Mike and I are doing well. Just busy working and take care of home things (not to mention the children :-) We are planning on taking the kids to some Christmas festivities this weekend at the fairgrounds, hopefully it won't get too cold out and we'll be able to make it without freezing to death.

Well that's enough for now, I am tired of tying! :-)

Meemas new floor

After at least 16 hours of hard work last weekend Mike finally was able to finish mom's new kitchen/hall floor for Les. It turned out amazing and makes it look like a whole different room! Colin, Courtney and I stayed back on the last day of work, since Courtney had a birthday party to attended, so I can't wait to see it in person! Before

During
This is where we left it Saturday night
Where they picked up Sunday... Caden eating Cheesecake on the new floor!

the end result- next time I am there, I'll have to take a floor view like I did in the before pictures to get the full effect of it all.
