Caden can ride a BIKE!!

Last weekend I went to Toys R us (with the kids) to grab a picnic table that was on MEGA sale, and thought I would have Caden try out some bikes. Well when we finally found the size that worked best for him, he got on, and with just one try, started peddling away! I couldn't believe it! So of Course we HAD to buy him the bike after that show! We even let him pick out the helmet of choice, which made the something on my head adjustment much much easier. I can tell what an amazing difference having him center based on getting on site OT has done for him, last summer we never could have got anything on his head, now he grabs it when he's ready to ride without us telling him too! We've always felt terrible that is so far behind the other kids in the neighborhood ~ While they are all outside riding bikes or scooters, poor Caden would be pushed in the stroller, pulled in the wagon, or he'd be the one pushing or pulling something to walk with. It's nice to know that this summer, although he'll most likely not interact with the other children, that he'll be happily peddling down the opposite side of the street with them! Yea Caden!
