Updates Galore!

*Whew* It's been like forever since I've had the opportunity to sit down and get a new post up here! Where to start?? Last week my mom had shoulder surgery. She came out of the surgery well, and is recovering at Aunt Norma's house with Pepper. They are taking good care of her. turns out her shoulder was a pretty mess! Thankfully they didn't have to repair the rotate cuff though. She had a TON of arthritis in there, much much more then the doc had originally thought. They also had to cut her bicep tendon and remove multiple bone spurs as well. She is still in quite a bit of pain, and will be starting regular therapy this week. If this surgery doesn't give her the relief she needs, then they might be looking at a possible shoulder replacement in the future, but we'd all like to avoid that as much as possible!

Only my mom can dress up a sling this pretty right?? LOL - always Stylin'!

Next - moving on to Courtney ~ She has been keeping busy with the first couple weeks of 7th grade completed. She has her first 7th grade dance coming up shortly and has already attended her first Varsity Football game with friends as well! Lots of firsts this year I imagine, and it's only the 3rd full week of classes, boy are we in for a treats! During the week, outside of school, we have cheer leading for 2 hours 2 days per week and religion for 1.5 hours on Wednesdays, right now, we relish in the peace Mondays and Fridays bring to our home! Courtney is doing great with Cheer leading as well. She cheers for Lancaster JV Black, who mind you is still Undefeated! Wahoo!! Keep it up and she'll be cheering in the playoffs as well! At practice right now the girls are working super hard on competition pieces. As of right now her team will be competing in 4 local competitions, so they will be very busy the next few weeks, since the first one is Oct 18th! Keep up the good work Court!

Nice sticking out the tounge huh??

Next Up?? Caden! Caden is still working on trying to get on the schedule of being back in school, he's having a pretty hard time of it lately, and I have a call into his counselor to talk about this as well, however haven't received a call back from her yet. He also thinks that he shouldn't have to pee in the potty any longer and thinks it much better to either do it outside, on the carpet, or on the floor. Not fun! He also lost his last tooth from his mouth injury last fall. He had a VERY hard time understand this a was very upset for a while. Mike and I had to explain to him and show him where we too lost teeth... that made him feel a little better. I then explained to him that since his tooth is out, that they tooth fairy will come and leave him a present. When we asked him what he wanted - he said a riding lawn mower! We told him *sigh* that the tooth fairy was very very little and couldn't carry that. he said Ok, then a vacuum! LOL this kid is nuts! In the end he settled on a new choo choo, and the tooth fairy did indeed leave him a little wooden choo choo train!! The look on his face when he woke up the next morning was SO worth the heartache I felt the previous night when he was so upset!

Last weekend we spent the night in Olean, for little Molly Bea's christening! She is just SO beautiful. I am so happy for Mike & Kasey ~ If anyone deserves children it is them!
Isn't she SO adorable???

Mike and I are counting down the days until we leave for our vacation to the Bahamas and Orlando. 11 days today! We leave Next Saturday Oct 3rd and come home on the 9th. We have 2 extra days before and after the cruise part of the trip, so we are going to do a day at Sea World and then maybe hit downtown Disney after :-) I am SUPER excited and really looking forward to eating with out having to chase kids and cut food and leave because they are misbehaving. I will miss them though, don't get me wrong!
