Extreme home Wednesday ~ Day 5

We took another trip down to the house progress today, and had lunch with the volunteers. It just so amazing to see so many people come together in one spot. I know I keep saying that, but it truly is! I am so happy to see so many great changes going on in a not so great neighborhood. It's up the people in the area now to keep paying it forward! Can't wait to see it complete. Tomorrow is completion of the inside and exterior / yard work. Friday is moving in the furniture and Saturday is the big reveal!

Amanda eating her banana in the lunchroom

hard to see past the yellow vest, but here's us eating with the volunteers~!

This is the house from my first group of pictures that was barley partway done, they've been working SO hard on it, and it shows. It's come so far and looks amazing, they even got a new stockade fence going up too!

Working on a house on Normal, yard work and scraping that paint to put on new.

People helping out everywhere

Painting steps on Normal st.

Next door to the left.

Side view between the 2 houses.

Front View of the new house

The next door neighbor to the right of them, getting all new siding as well.

They were working on siding the front of it in the white siding on the 2nd story.

What amazing people live in Western New York! Over 4000 volunteers, not only skilled trades and laborers, but community service workers, neighbors, any thing you can do , you do!

Side view of the house ~ Look how long and tall it is, remember they can only make it as big as our city lots are here, which is not very large, house's are right on top of one another. I love the green siding! They were working on finishing siding and getting the inside done. Friday is the furniture move in already!

House on the corner of Massachusetts and Normal getting new siding, and clearing out that corner lot - I believe for a playground, but we'll see!

House on normal, just before that corner lot - got a new paint job, new doors and yard work, looks great!
