Dying Eggs!

We never buy the store bought eggs kits when it comes to dying eggs, we just use warm water, vinegar & food coloring. I like it alot more. You can make so many of your own color combinations, and i think they turn out ALOT more vibrant as well.

Here we are with all our eggs ready to color!

And our Colors. I could have made more combinations, but I ran out of paper cups, and the rest of our cups were in the dishwasher :) we went with both neon and normal colors this year!

Teal eggs.

Notice Caden with the gloves on? that was fine, but since he had on the gloves, he didnt' think he needed to use a spoon to get the egg in and out, so he kept sticking his ENTIRE hand in the colors, and then in the next colors, getting all the colors all mixed ! Not good for mom's OCD. LOL
Looking at our pretty eggs.

I drew and wrote the kids names on some before we did anything with them, and they didnt' know it, so it was fun for them to find out what was on some of them after they were all colored.

We had some interesting colors and combinations going on.

The Choo Choo Train egg.

Courtney wanted a zebra printed one.

All the kids names

This navy blue one was my most favorite one ever! Mike left this one and the Orange one in the dye for a good 30-45 minutes. Look how cool and dark it came out!

I am determined now to leave ALL of ours in the dye for at least 30 minutes next year. :-)

The neatest part?? Look at what it did to the egg! The color ended up seeping through the shell, and died the egg.

The egg looked SO cool!! It was a blue speckled one!
